Conger verreauxi - Southern Conger Eel

Habitat: Sheltered and moderately exposed reef; 0-80 m depth

Distribution: SA to Victoria and around Tasmania

Maximum size: Length to 2 m

Eats: LOTS! Loves flathead!   

Comments:

During the day remains hidden in caves, with the tip of the tail often protruding. Generally comes out at night to feed.
