pylons; 0 - 15 m depth
- Distribution: WA to NSW and around Tasmania
- Maximum Size: Length to 120 mm
- Diet: Plankton (Filter feeders)
- Comments:
- This is a large mussel and is the only local
mussel commercially fished. It is also farmed.
