No Dig Garden

Prep Ones No Dig garden

Our Vegetable Lasagne Garden

Step 1

Cover ground with newspaper and cardboard

Step 2

Cover area with layers of compost and straw. Pea straw is best. We used hay the first time and it all sprouted and we had to dig the weeds back in.

Step 3

Sprinkle blood and bone and some lime over the area.

Step 4

Make some big bowls of soil and plant seeds into the soil bowls and give them water.

We planted broad beans and broccoli in July. We harvested the broad beans in December. The Broad Beans were delicious. We planted sunflowers in November and they are growing very fast.
